Ella

I am a twenty-two-year-old adrenaline addict, outdoor enthusiast, journalist, and mere member of this Earth.

At my inkwell, I offer a personal—adventure-leaning—take on the world through a mix of informative articles, op-eds, and snippets of my own experiences. It is also where I gather the pieces I’ve written for other publications (The Santa Barbara Independent, Santa Barbara Life & Style, the Los Angeles Times, and, hopefully, many more) into one portfolio.

If you’re curious about the name Ella’s Green Inkwell, it was chosen when I first started this website at twenty years old. I thought of an inkwell—the place where one dips a pen before scribing every idea—as a kind of home base, an all encompassing archive if you will. Many of my ideas begin here before they evolve and eventually find their way onto the pages of a publication.

Why green? My mission in life has always been—and still is—to protect the Earth I am fortunate enough to call home. Green represents nature, growth, and life. It is also a promise: my pen will always lean green.
